According to me, OneNote is the best Note-Taking application available in windows, which can act as your complete digital diary. By default OneNote saves all your Notebooks in your personal “My Documents” folder. Well this is the obvious choice to store your Notebooks for most of the peoples, but If you are Like me then you may want to move it to a Non-System drive on your computer for better security.
This is a very easy process and I will try my best to explain it in a even more simple steps. First of all open your OneNote application from your Start-Menu. Now in your OneNote user Interface look at the Upper left corner, where you will see the “File” button. Just click it to bring up the Back-Stage View of your OneNote Application.
Now In the Back-Stage View Click on the “Options” button to bring up the options window where you will be able to change the default location for your Notebooks.
Now in the options window navigate to the “Save & Backup” tab. In this area now select “Default Notebok Location” and click the “Modify” button. In the Pop-Up window select your desired alternate location for your Notebooks. I suggest you to choose a Non-System partition on your Hard-Disk as the alternate location. After that click the ok button to confirm your selection. That’s it. You have successfully done the job. But one thing keep in mind that you have to Restart Your OneNote for your settings to take affect.
