Recently YouTube is testing a new user interface for it’s website and sometimes ago I have shown you how you can enable that new User interface of YouTube. Apart from the user interface, the video viewing experience also matters a lot and we can all notice that within the last couple of years the video viewing experience in YouTube has improved a lot. But even after so many years, YouTube doesn’t provide a few very basic functionality. Ok, don’t look at me like that. I know YouTube does allow you to select the size of the Video player from these three different size - the normal default size which is the smallest, the larger size that takes up most of the top half and pushes comments down being the medium size and full screen which isn’t as much of a ‘size’ since it takes up all of the screen. But what I am trying to say that YouTube don’t allow you to freely resize the player’s dimension like you can do with your desktop media player. Sometimes this functionality becomes very important because for viewers on very large or relatively small screens, these player choices don’t offer much flexibility. Just download the extension to your Google Chrome browser and go to any YouTube video you want to watch. Once there, move your mouse to the video background, and you will see the cursor icon change. The resizing arrow is the same two headed, pointing in the opposite direction arrow that you usually see when you try to resize your desktop media player like “Windows Media Player”. Just drag that arrow to resize the video player. As you resize videos, the resolution changes accordingly so that you don’t have t change it yourself.
