Previously we have shared many speed dial extensions for your chrome browser which are more than just a simple speed dial for your browser. For example we have talked about the chrome extension called “Awesome New Tab Page” which allows you to have get Windows 8 like metro tiles within your Google Chrome’s “New Tab Page”. But today we are going to discuss about a brand new extension called “New Tab Feeder” which is a personalized dashboard including an amazing Instagram interface, a live news feed, a smart search tool and many more great features!
“New Tab Feeder” is more than just a simple “speed dial” extension. This chrome extension serves new tab in a very unique way by providing customized speed dials, news feed from your favorite sites,apps, bookmarks, built-in translator and smart search. This extension will personalize your browser by bringing your Instagram feeds as a background instead of the plain white background when you open the new tab page.
You can Download “New Tab Feeder” directly from the chrome web store and install it on your chrome browser. After the installation is complete, the settings page of the extension will be displayed to you. In that page you will be able to Select one of the featured feeds and the Select Background Style of your dashboard. After that click on the “Next” button and now you will be able to select your favorite News Channels. News from your selected News Channels will appear in the news bar at the bottom of your dashboard. For your convenience, all the News channels are neatly categorized in different sub-categories like “Featured”, “USA”, “India” etc. After that just select the “Finish” button to save your settings.
Now whenever you will open a new tab in your chrome browser, a completely redesigned dashboard will be shown to you. In your dashboard you will notice a thin navigation bar at the top of the New Tab page. Using that bar you can visit your news feed or visit the installed apps. If you’ve closed any tabs then a third button “Closed Tabs” will also be shown to you. If you want to go back to your main dashboard, then you can simply click the “Home” icon on that bar to do so.
The best part of the extension is that it allows you to customize it’s look according to your taste. For example you can select from which news channel you want to get your news. And the Instagram feed interation is just an outstanding concept. New Tab Feeder lets you set Instagram feeds as your background for new tab page with support for a variety of trends.
