myLinkCloud - A Free iGoogle Alternative Cloud Bookmark Service

In my previous article I have already mentioned about Google's decision of shutting down services which aren’t core to its business. If you haven't been living under a rock for the past year then you may already know that iGoogle has less than a year to go before it’s shut down for good on November 1 2013, which was originally launched back in 2005 by Google. According to Google, “with modern apps that run on platforms like Chrome and Android, the need for iGoogle has eroded over time.” Well, I don't want to comment on that but I can definitely let you know about a very good Cloud Bookmarking Service which is a online Start page similar to iGoogle.

Everyone who have used iGoogle as a personalized home page for their starting place on the web will definitely miss the cool features it offered. But you don't have to worry because there are tons of alternative to iGoogle which are free and very useful. But today we are going to talk about a free service called "myLinkCloud" which allows you to create start pages with your favorite links.
Organizing the links on your pages is a simple drag and drop process. You can also add a new item by clicking the "Add" button on the left sidebar. To delete a link just right click on it then confirm that you want to delete it from your start page. In myLinkCloud you are not only limited to inks of the webpages, you can also a few widgets to your personal start page. For example you can add the "RSS Widget" to display the RSS feeds of your favorite blogs on your myLinkCloud start pages. You can also add a "Notes Widget" to your start page. Notes can be used to quickly put down ideas or thoughts, to send your friends a message on a shared cloud or for statements on public clouds. The notes are available in different colors and font sizes. You can adapt their size and position the way applied for any other link. "Frames Widget" can be used to structure your clouds even better. Every frame can be given a title. All links located within a frame can be repositioned by simply moving the frame. Frames are also available in different colors. But you need to invite at least one more friend to use myLinkCloud to unlock this feature.
myLinkCloud is a free bookmark service, which allows you to create your personal gateway to the internet by combining all your favorite links on so-called clouds. Rather than using text, your links are embedded as logos or pictures of choice. These logos can freely be re-sized and located within your cloud. Besides, users are also free to choose the cloud´s background. Another important advantage is that using myLinkCloud allows you to access your links from any web-enabled device in the world. Moreover, you are able to share your clouds with colleagues or friends. Thus, myLinkCloud saves you plenty of time while surfing the internet. myLinkCloud is anonymous, ad-free, rub-free, FREE of charge and fun to use. I know there are many other services that fill the same niche or category, but myLinkCloud is one of the most visually appealing of those that I have tried.
